"It is nothing to die, It Is dreadful to not live"
-Victor Hugo
Objective
To illustrate a chosen quote using Adobe Illustrator and then process the illustration into an animation using Adobe Aftereffects.

Process
I chose this quote for two major reasons, the first being that I thought it resonated well with my personal struggles and journeys in life while also holding some inspiration for my future hopes and endeavours. The second reason was that I believed the two-part structure of the quote would make for an excellent animation and compositions, while also having a lot of potential for the illustration itself.
Once I had my quote chosen, I set to work sketching what Life and death mean to me as a person in both abstract concepts as well as personal experiences.
I landed on a composition showing a scenic view and a camping car as camping has always been something close to my heart and was in fact the thing I was doing when I last felt free and alive.
Once the composition was complete I then brought my illustrations into Adobe Aftereffects where I created unique and interesting animations for each word in order to better hold the attention of the audience.

Medium/Tools Used
The Animated quote used both Adobe Illustrator to create the illustration of the quote and Aftereffects in order to achieve the final animation.
